The application won’t exhaust too many of your system’s active resources because it is reduced to the system tray. You can simply access that to control the functions of the scanning device.
In fact, you can control these functions right from your desktop because the utility appears in your system tray. There is an application called the Epson Event Manager Utility which makes it easier to manage your scanner’s functions. It may be better to have more accessibility close by, right?
